A Day of Art in Old Lyme

Tuleh Telfair’s mammoth and mythical landscapes grace the galleries at the Florence Griswold Museum this month. From a distance, the paintings appear painstakingly detailed, but up close they reveal an astonishing painterly technique. Make reservations for Influences & Reactions, a lecture by the artist on Mother’s Day with a light tea after. Next door, visit the Elected Artist Exhibit at the Lyme Art Association (through June 21). Then head down Lyme Street for Cindy House’s Islands of New England at the Cooley Gallery (opening reception this Thursday, May 6th), and cross the street for the final weekend of Brian Stephen’s awesome show at Diane Birdsall Gallery.
