Beech Tree Cottages

BeechTreeCottage
If you can’t stomach the thought of another weekend of overnight guests, beach towels and barbecues, stash them at the adorable Beech Tree Cottages in Madison. These spic and span cottages sleep two to four, feature A/C, cable, kitchenettes and simple, but pleasant decor. And, thankfully, they’re set back across a wide lawn from Route 1. The path to Hammonasset is directly across the street and bikes and beach passes are complimentary for guests. Best of all is their shop, The Little Station.
Once an Esso, it now houses a charming gift shop, selling necessities like Ashlawn Farm Coffee, locally made sodas and an assortment of letterpress cards, gift items and beachy gear. Your hipster friends will love it. A find at $110 to $140 per night.
