It is never a wise idea to seek cheap sushi, but I believe if you seek good sushi and it turns out to be a deal, then it’s a winning situation. I found the perfect Bento Box at Osaka: a ball of sticky rice, a little salad with citrusy ginger dressing, two mini springrolls, four pieces of sushi and a half order of California Roll for a puny $12. The Scott’s Roll was a keeper, too — spicy albacore, scallions and cucumber, topped with fresh sliced jalapeno and masago. Pair this collection of appealing treats with super friendly service and classic tunes by Led Zepellin and Journey and you’ve got a glorious lunch. There’s full service hibachi, too, and it seems like the entire town turns out for half-priced sushi on Tuesdays.
